Conveniently located with the Simons Town Road on the one side and “Jagger’s Walk” and the seaside train tracks on the other, a tumble of spectacular boulders shelter charming rock pools home to tiny creatures and inviting splash pools designed by nature, on your doorstep! The warm ocean laps up against these boulders and the white sandy beaches of Fish Hoek, stretching for more than a kilometer, are a short walk along the rock path from the apartments. There are beautiful seaside walks to historic Simons Town as well as mountain paths across to Glencairn.

All 7 Fish Hoek self catering apartments are north facing which affords all day sun on decks, gardens, lounges and main bedrooms. All apartments offer self catering accommodation for vacation rentals with flat screen TVs with DSTV (satellite TV reception of Sky, CNN, etc.), fully equipped kitchens (4 plate hob, fridge/ freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, all cooking utensils and pots and pans), hair dryers, clock radios, wall safes, heaters, irons and ironing boards and Intercom system. Linen and towels provided. Bring own beach towels but available on request from reception. Apartments are serviced daily. Laundry service available at an additional cost. Lock-up parking facilities.

Concierges on duty daily. Information desk assists with bookings for restaurants and activities in and around Cape Town. Breakfast baskets R110 per person (croissant, fruit, yoghurt, cold meat, cheese, jam, butter, juice - vegetarian option available) delivered to apartment daily - to be pre-booked 48 hours.

This newly refurbished interior designed apartment has a peaceful and private garden and lawn with wrought iron table with 4 chairs, 6 seater wooden table – loungers available - and uninterrupted view overlooking the rocks and ocean.

Apartment Unit 2: 50 square metres. Sleeps 4. Down one flight of stairs from entrance, this apartment has a private garden and vine covered patio with a grassed area. Dining in the garden is an excellent option with spectacular mountain and ocean views. Wrought iron table and 4 chairs, loungers also available. Open plan fully equipped kitchen and lounge with TV and sleeper couch for 2 children or 1 adult. Dining area has 4 high stools for indoor eating around a bar. Separate main bedroom with twin or king size bed and a full newly refurbished bathroom with bath and a separate shower. Cape Cod style furnishings with interesting nautical touches throughout. Views from garden, lounge, kitchen and bedroom.

Apartment Unit 3: 102 square metres. Sleeps maximum 5 guests. On street level (no stairs), this 3 bedroom apartment has a large wooden deck overlooking the ocean. Ideal for families it has a large, open plan lounge with TV and dining room (with 6-seater table) with a separate kitchen, fully equipped. The main bedroom leads onto deck and has queen size bed, 2nd bedroom has 2 single bed and 3rd bedroom has 1 single bed. One full bathroom with a separate shower. Deck has plastic table with 4 chairs and 2 loungers. Beautiful views from deck, lounge, dining room and main bedroom.

Apartment Unit 4: 100 square metres. Sleeps 4. On Street level (no stairs), this apartment has a large wooden deck overlooking the ocean. It has 2 spacious double bedrooms with 2 queen size beds plus sleeper couch in 2nd bedroom. TV in lounge and both bedrooms. One full bathroom with bath and separate shower. Separate fully equipped kitchen. Open plan lounge and dining area with 6-seater table. Deck has plastic table with 4 chairs and 2 loungers.

Apartment Unit 7: Sleeps maximum of 5 adults. Down a small flight of steps this apartment has a private garden with lawn, verandah, patio with wooden table and chairs, an entrance hall, lounge with sleeper couch for 2 children or 1 adult and TV, large open plan kitchen (fully equipped with 2 eye level ovens, 4 plate hob, dishwasher, double door fridge, etc.) and dining room leading onto protected patio and garden. The main bedroom has two single or king size bed and a large shower en-suite. A second bedroom has been added with double bunks and en-suite shower bathroom. Magnificent views over sea and mountains are seen from garden, lounge and main bedroom.

Apartment Unit 8: Sleeps maximum of 4. Up a short flight of steps, leading off the common lounge area, this charming living room area with open plan bedroom/ lounge/ dining room and kitchen, leads onto a wooden deck with sweeping views of False Bay. This apartment has a very large picture window looking out over the ocean towards “Hang Klip” directly east over False Bay. The lounge area has a double sleeper couch for 2 and TV. The open plan bedroom area sleeps 2 in twin beds or king size bed. Full bathroom with separate shower. Kitchen has 2 plate stove, under-counter fridge/freezer, microwave, all usual cooking utensils. Dining area has a 4-seater table and the deck has a wooden table and 4 chairs.

UNIT 9 (Honeymoon Suite)

1 rooms - 2 people

Apartment Unit 9: Sleeps 2. Up a short flight of steps, leading off the common lounge area, this “Honeymoon Suite” offers an entrance hall, a large open plan bedroom with walk-in closet, lounge with couch seating, dining area with 4-seater table leading onto a large wooden deck, and a separate kitchen (with electric cooker, 2 plate stove with oven, under counter fridge freezer, microwave). Large “over the top” bathroom with “four poster” bath, separate shower, bidet and large vanity cupboard. TV in lounge area, can be viewed from the bed. The deck has 4 wooden chairs and a table, as well as 2 sun loungers. The deck and the bed are positioned to take maximum advantage of the incredible views of False Bay.

Attractions & Activities

The following attractions can be found close to this establishment

  • Discover the secrets of charming villages Sunny Cove, Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay, Glencairn and Simons Town. Try exploring by train! The railway line runs along the coast, right on the water’s edge - closest station Sunny Cove, 100 m away.
  • Clovelly Golf Course is 10 minute drive away and Lakeside Golf Course 15 minutes away. Steenberg Golf Course in Constantia is within a gated development and vineyard. Cape Town has approximately 10 other excellent courses. Some 15 other courses are available within a 30 km radius.
  • Whale watching - September to November. The whales may be seen immediately in front of the apartment's garden lying in the relative shallows some 10 metres off the rocks!
  • Deep sea fishing, kayaking, boating and rock fishing available. Shark cage diving and shark breeching trips offered out of Simons Town (seasonal).
  • Walking, mountain hiking, cycling all around the local area as well as throughout the Cape Peninsula.
  • At Seaforth, some 10 kms from the apartment, is the world famous penguin colony and a wonderful beach.
  • Historic Simons Town, a naval base since the 17th century is some 7 kms on the way to Seaforth.
  • Cape Point Nature Reserve is the southern most tip of the Peninsula and baboons, buck and other wild life may be observed. The drive is absolutely breathtaking as is the drive over Chapmans Peak to Hout Bay.
  • Helicopter flights may be taken daily from the Waterfront in Cape Town. The last Lightning jet aircraft licensed to fly may be flown in at "Thunder City" at Cape Town International Airport with other Air force jets e.g. The Buccaneer. The Lightning is still today the 2nd fastest jet from take off to 20,000 feet, only superseded by the F-18.
  • The Cable Car on Table Mountain to the top with its magnificent views is a must.
  • The famous Constantia winelands are a 15 minute drive from Fish Hoek, while Stellenbosch and Franschoek are 45 minutes’ drive.
  • The Cape Town V&A Waterfront (30 to 40 minutes drive) offers shopping and dining, cruising to many destinations, both sailing and motorised is available as well as trips to Robben Island, the prison which held Nelson Mandela.
  • Casino's are found in Century City some 15 kms outside of Cape Town. The area abounds with wonderful dining options, shops, supermarkets, banks, etc.
  • Cape Town International Airport is some 30 kms from the apartment on excellent and extremely well sign-posted motorways.
  • In fact, Cape Town, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, offers the tourist everything one could wish for!
