Gordon's Bay has been described as the Monaco of the Cape, a quaint seaside village with meandering streets and a distinct Mediterranean flavour. It is situated against an impressive mountain range, approximately 30km from the Cape Town Airport, 40km from Cape Town and the V&A Waterfront and central to all the tourist attractions in and around Cape Town.

With its old-world charm, narrow streets, two safe swimming beaches (Bikini Beach has Blue Flag status), many restaurants and fine accommodation places, the town is the perfect holiday destination. The old harbour is a popular spot for romantic sunset walks and sunset cruises can be taken from the new Harbour Island marina development.

Gordon’s Bay is on the Whale Route (with whales frolicking the coastline between July to November). It is the starting point on the magnificent, awe-inspiring must-do scenic coastal Clarence Drive to Rooi Els and further towards Hermanus and is a mere 15 minutes drive to the famous Cape Winelands, beginning at Somerset West.
